The challenge goes out to @BrianLara @SDhawan25 @henrygayle and @sachin_rt who has to take this challenge as a left hander 😎” on the post.

Here is Yuvraj’s #bottlecapchallenge

Shikhar Dhawan who had a serious injury of a fractured thumb has been recovering well since then as he was seen batting in the nets while doing the #BottleCapChallenge and had done an absolutely amazing job.
He wrote on the post “Yuvi Paaji, here is my #BottleCapChallenge! This is the first time I am picking my bat up after my injury..feels good to be back! 💪 @yuvisofficial”

Here’s Shikhar Dhawan’s #BottleCapChallenge video:

Yuvraj Singh replied to his post and said: “Shot eh jatt ji welcome back 👊🏽 #doitagain”

The video of Shikhar Dhawan doing #BottleCapChallenge is viral because he is seen after a long time in cricket nets as he was recovering from his thumb injury and his well-wishers are sharing this post on various social media platforms. He was playing a cover drive shot and the ball hits onto the top of the bottle to remove the cap and he was celebrating after the challenge was accomplished. He was replaced by young wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant in the World Cup 2019 Indian team squad as his injury took more than the estimated time of recovery and was a bit serious. With his recovery from the injury, he can now be considered to be picked in the ODI and T20I side to tour West Indies at the beginning of August. India had a disappointing loss in World Cup 2019 semi-finals against New Zealand and team management will be looking forward for West Indies tour and thereafter hefty domestic Cricket season.

India Team For West Indies Tour to be Announced on July 19

India squad for West Indies Tour to be announced on July 19 and some rumors are spreading all over the nation about M.S.Dhoni’s retirement after loss from runner ups, New Zealand in World Cup 2019 semi-finals. But M.S Dhoni hasn’t made any such decision or announced anything such yet. He has been criticized lately by many critics because of his low scoring rate and struggling knocks. But he has played an immense role in India in this World Cup and contributed by making scoring 273 runs in eight innings but his 50-run knock in the semi-final against New Zealand could not help India cross the finish line. M.S. Dhoni has made himself unavailable for India’s upcoming full tour of the West Indies and Rishabh Pant will be replacing him as a front-line wicketkeeper. M.S. Dhoni can play a big role in the transition phase of Indian Cricket.

Also, there were rumors of Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will be given rest after hefty cricket schedule and World Cup campaign but after being disappointed by India’s World Cup performance it is confirmed that he will travel to West Indies for the full tour from August 3 to September 3. After India’s tour to West Indies, India has a fully packed domestic season of lots of cricket.

Indian team management was questioned about Dhoni’s batting position in World Cup 2019 semi-finals against New Zealand and now The B. C. C. I. has started the procedure of recruiting the support staff including head coach, batting coach, bowling coach, fielding coach, physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach and administrative manager. However, All the coaches can re-apply for their spots but it’s upon B. C. C. I who they select. After Ravi Shastri was appointed head coach in July 2017, India has not won a major ICC event under his guidance though the team managed to make history by winning their first Test series in Australia at the beginning of the year.

Border Gavaskar Trophy

India will be willing to forget their disappointing World Cup campaign and focus on upcoming matches and tours. However, India still has good ODIs ranking as they are placed 2nd after World Cup 2019 champions England with 123 points. Chances are India can have some young faces like Prithvi Shaw and Shubhman Gill in their squad as they will be looking to nourish some young talent for future perspectives.

In the previous encounter between New Zealand vs England, the hosts England thrashed New Zealand and defeated them by 119 runs. England would like to repeat this scenario whereas New Zealand would be looking to alter the situation. The teams will be willing to put in all their efforts and creating history by winning first ever ICC World Cup for their nation. The hosts England are everyone’s favourites but New Zealand still got a great chance.

ICC World Cup 2019 : Run Outs, Game Changer and Nightmare for the batsman

Run Out

Two semi-finals of the World Cup 2019 have been played and finalists are New Zealand and host England. But the winning story of both the teams can relate to one common incident that is run out of crucial batsman at the critical stage of the match.

In the first Semi-final of ICC World Cup 2019

New Zealand was about to finish the match early against India but the partnership of Ravindra Jadeja and M.S. Dhoni put worries on New Zealand fans and Captain Kane Williamson. Jadeja and Dhoni put on a 116-run stand off only 17.2 overs to help strengthen India’s situation after they were reduced to 92 for 6. But soon after Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal, a great fielding performance by the New Zealand side brought fortune for them. M.S.Dhoni who is known for his fast running between the wickets got run-out by marvelous fielding from Martin Guptill in the deep. This helped New Zealand to get back in the game and with the 18-run win over India, they advanced to the second world cup final in a row.

Even Kane Williamson admitted that when Ravindra Jadeja and Mahendra Singh Dhoni were in middle India was in a position of strength, but added that some good fielding by New Zealand team helped them get over the line in the thrilling semi-final.

In the 2nd semi-final of ICC World Cup 2019

Australia after scrambling in the early phase of their innings were looking strong when Steve Smith started building partnerships with Alex Carey and then Mitchell Starc. But a great fielding performance from Jos Buttler got Steve Smith run out in a critical situation where Australia was heading towards making a big score. He got dismissed in an awkward way as Jos Buttler grab the ball and make a direct hit at the non-striker’s end and the ball passed between the legs of Steve Smith. The run out of Steve Smith was a replicate to the way former Indian captain MS Dhoni had departed during India’s chase of the 240-run target against New Zealand. This was a turning point for England as Australia was all out for 223 in just 49 overs. Which England chased down easily without facing any problems. England advanced for the final of the ICC World Cup 2019 and will be facing New Zealand. Both the teams will be looking to lift their first ever World Cup trophy.

World Cup 2019 Final – The Most Awaited Moment for Both the Teams

New Zealand and England will be practising and sweating hard for the final of the ICC World Cup 2019 as the cricket world awaits a new world champion. England is the hosts and favourites of ICC World Cup 2019 and proved it correct after thrashing down the defending champions Australia comfortably. Australia had never lost a semi-final in ICC World Cup before the 2nd semi-final of the tournament.

England looked a balanced side and better than New Zealand as England has a strong batting line-up. England has scored 320+ runs multiple times in this tournament and showed some classy batting performances.

Whereas New Zealand is facing issues with their top order except for Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor and also has a weak lower middle order. Kane Williamson is playing exceptionally well for his side and is performing like a one-man army for New Zealand. England and New Zealand have faced each other in 9 matches in the ICC Cricket World Cup tournaments. Out of these 9 games, England has won 4 whereas New Zealand has come out victorious on 5 occasions.

England captain Eoin Morgan has praised his teammates and fans for supporting them during the ups and downs in this during. He said “Absolutely delighted. I would like to thank the fans who’ve come out today, our fans have been great with their support. Edgbaston has always been great for us. Having beaten India on this ground, we would have come in with similar confidence. It is very important to take confidence from the group stages into the semi-finals. We talked about wanting to get better from game to game and we wanted to set the tone from ball one and we made Australia pay,” in the post-match presentation.

England has never won the World Cup, finishing as runner-up in 1979, 1987 and 1992. Whereas New Zealand was runner-up in previous World Cup edition and this is their 2nd consecutive final.

The final of the ICC World Cup 2019 will be umpired by Kumar Dharmasena and Marais Erasmus. The controversy surrounding Jason Roy’s dismissal in the second semi-final was lead after

Dharmasena and Erasmus were the on-field umpires. For which, England opener Jason Roy was fined 30 per cent of his match fee for getting into an argument with the on-field umpires and violating ICC’s rules and regulations.
On 14th July, the final of the ICC World Cup 2019 is going to be an absolute thriller as the cricket world waits for its new World Cup champion.

India vs New Zealand World Cup 2019 1st Semi-Final

Rain in the 2019 World Cup

1st Semi-final of ICC World Cup 2019 was played between India and previous World Cup edition finalists New Zealand. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. Rain suspended the match and the game will resume on 10th July. New Zealand will continue their batting at 211/5 from 46.1 overs, with Ross Taylor and Tom Latham in the middle.

This was the fourth match of World Cup 2019 to be abandoned so far, and the third to be called off without a ball being bowled. And India’s match against New Zealand has been interrupted second time in this World Cup.

The ICC World Cup 2019 has already surpassed the previous highest number of washed-out matches in a World Cup – two in 1992 and 2003. Unlike league stages, ICC has kept reserved days for semi-finals and finale of World Cup 2019. If tomorrow somehow results in the match is not possible then India will advance to finals as they had finished at the top in the group stage. But the worse news for cricket fans is the forecast for tomorrow does not look too bright either but let’s hope we finish the game and have a clear finalist.

India Playing XI – Lokesh Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (c), Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni (wk), Dinesh Karthik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal.

New Zealand Playing XI – Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls, Kane Williamson (c), Ross Taylor, Tom Latham (wk), James Neesham, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Trent Boult.

New Zealand had a turtle start to their innings as both openers were in defensive mode and were struggling in the middle while facing India’s deadly fast bowlers’ combo Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja also bowled tightly which didn’t give New Zealand even a single chance to get easy runs for their side. Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor helped New Zealand to get out of that nasty situation and helped to head towards a respectable total of 211-5 in 46.1 overs.

Quick Summary

New Zealand – 211-5 (46.1)
Kane Williamson – 67, Ross Taylor – 67*
Jasprit Bumrah – 8-1-25-1

World Cup 2019 BCCI Reveals India’s New Jersey

India will be playing against World Cup 2019 hosts England tomorrow at Edgbaston, Birmingham. India will be wearing away jersey against England which was revealed by BCCI by posting a photo of the jersey on twitter with a caption: “Presenting #TeamIndia’s Away Jersey What do you make of this one, guys? #TeamIndia #CWC19.”
India’s away orange jersey has been dominated by orange colour from the back and the sleeves and darker shade of blue in the front.

Before this World Cup started the ICC introduced a new rule where the teams will be having a home and away jersey so that two teams can be easily differentiated by the secondary colour of their kits, in case their primary colour is the same, just like it is done in football matches.

The ICC rule states that: “For televised ICC events all participating teams will be required to provide for two different coloured kits, except for the host country who has preference in the choice of colour and may, if it chooses to do so, provide only one coloured kit to be worn in all matches throughout the event. In advance of the event, the teams will be notified which coloured kit will be worn in each match.”

The ODI and Away Kit designs launched this year are inspired by the young new generation of India and the fearless spirit of the national teams,” a press release said.

Indian team players have shared their photos in wearing the new jersey of Team India on social media and it seems that they are enjoying it and having a good time wearing it. Indian cricket fans got really excited after BCCI revealed the new jersey and the tweet which BCCI shared got tons of hits and retweets. Captain Virat Kohli stated that he would rate 8 out of 10 to their new jersey.
