India had the worst start of their innings in the World Cup 2019 as they lost their top order batsman Lokesh Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Captain Virat Kohli for really cheap. India was on 5-3 in 3.1 overs. From there Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya steadily built a partnership to help India chase down the target but things didn’t go as they wished and Rishabh Pant lost his wicket for 34 runs and afterward, Hardik Pandya also got dismissed by Mitchell Santner for 32. M.S. Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja were in the middle and made the impossible look possible as they together put on 116 runs on the board and but couldn’t make things work out for India as Ravindra Jadeja who was dismissed by Trent Boult for well deserved 77 runs off 59 balls. Indian fans are really disappointed right now as the Indian team got eliminated in World Cup semi-finals two consecutive times. India did really well in the World Cup 2019 group stages as they finished on the top of the points table but couldn’t handle the pressure of semi-finals and didn’t perform up to fans expectations.
New Zealand now will be focusing on lifting their first ever World Cup trophy on 14th July.
